Accessibility statement
Last updated
This statement covers the House Madness website: the information pages, sign-up and log-in, the pricing page and checkout, the account pages and the cancellation page. It also says what we know about the drawing app.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, as the European standard EN 301 549 requires, on the website, sign-up, checkout and the account pages.
Where we are
The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of it meets the requirements, but not everything has been checked yet, and we know of the limitations below.
The pages have headings, labelled form fields and text alternatives for images, so they can be used with a keyboard and a screen reader, in the light and the dark theme, and on narrow screens.
Known limitations
- The drawing canvas and the 3D view in the app are visual. The text alternatives are the room list with names and areas, the results of the stair checks, and the assistant, which you can type or talk to.
- Printed drawings and PDFs are not tagged, so screen readers cannot read them as structured documents.
- Payment takes place on Stripe’s checkout page, which Stripe is responsible for.
Tell us what doesn’t work
If something doesn’t work for you, or you need the content in another format, write to [email protected]. Tell us which page it is and what happened, and we will answer as soon as we can.
Supervision
- In Norway, the Authority for Universal Design of ICT (Uutilsynet – Tilsynet for universell utforming av ikt) supervises accessibility: uutilsynet.no.
- Elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you can contact the national authority responsible for the European Accessibility Act in your country.
